Disaster Recovery
FloridaCommerce, through the Office of Long-Term Resiliency (OLTR), supports communities following disasters by addressing long-term recovery needs for housing, infrastructure and economic development. FloridaCommerce is the governor-designated state authority responsible for administering all United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) long-term recovery funds awarded to the state.
The state of Florida has been allocated federal funding to support long-term disaster recovery through the Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery Program (CDBG-DR). CDBG-DR funding is designed to address housing, infrastructure, economic development and mitigation needs that remain after other assistance has been exhausted, including federal assistance as well as private insurance.
This website includes important resources and information on CDBG-DR funding and Florida's efforts to work with communities to address unmet long-term recovery needs. Information for specific CDBG-DR programs is available below by storm and program.
